I was a JW mom and just being a JW makes you abusive to your children. I wouldn't worry too much about the graduation rate like you said, because you will graduate. It sounds like VCU is your gut feeling, but your hung up on tech's prestige. Diversity sounds like it does play an important role to you as well. The thing I have found when choosing between two schools is that it's not as simple as counting up pro's and cons and choosing which has less cons. You eventually have to go with your gut instinct, or like you answered in my question, you will end up regretting it. I will say this though, you ABSOLUTELY have to visit tech before you decide because it is an amazing campus. (also #1 food on any campus) I've never seen VCU, but you definitely need to check out tech as well, it's worth seeing. Hope this helped, and good luck!

Need help with my hyper yellow lab?

OK, I have a monstrous 2 1/2 year old yellow lab, and I'm joining the army but don't want to give up the lovable monster so I absolutely have to get him in line so he can stay with my parents. To begin with, I take full responsibility for his current behavioral condition - I got him as a senior in college (gift from a gf), he was raised in a frat house (terrible environment for a puppy) and is now simply uncontrollable unless I'm within earshot. I was admittedly too hard on him in his first year, so now I'm aware he listens to me more out of fear than willingness to please, but he is by no means a vicious dog, he's great with my younger sisters and always has his tail wagging and a dumb grin on his face. For a long time, the biggest complaint was his destruction - he ate more than I can begin to list. Now, though, the biggest problem is that he's perfectly calm when it's just one or maybe two people in the room (he's sleeping on the couch as I type this), but the second there's more than that in the room, it's like he has to be up and active (which is a nuisance given the fact that he's 120 lbs with a constantly swinging louisville slugger attached to his ***). He believes he's a giant lap dog, and just has no regard for anyone's personal space lol. I'm inclined to try obedience school, but my parents don't think that is what he needs, and I don't want to waste the money unnecessarily. whenever i try to do something that includes color, like stroke a text blue, the color doesnt show up, it's just gray. My 6 Month Old Fell Off The Couch ?

My little boy fell off the couch this evening! He landed on his belly on carpeting over a fake-wood floor, so the floor is hard but the carpet cushioned his fall a bit I would think. I heard him thud to the floor and rushed over to him and grabbed him, he started fussing but I hugged him & comforted him. He wasn't bleeding or bruised in any way except for a red spot on his forehead where he must have banged it. I took off all his clothes to look for more bruises or marks as the result of the fall, but there were none anyplace else, just this red spot on his forehead. He only fussed for about a minute then he seemed to forget the incident as I took him away to another activity. Should I be concerned about what happened? The red spot is still visible on his forehead, he is acting normally and he seems ok otherwise. Obviously this type of accident is terrifying - will he be ok?

How tight should rings be around a scope?

I don't have a torque-screwdriver and I've never mounted a scope before. I put a Nikon 4x32mm on my .22LR, but I may have made it too tight. I'm asking because it has been my plan to exclusively feed my daughter and to have her in cloth diapers. Yes. Depending on what you eat and/or the baby's allergies he could be getting gas from milk. Also depending on the baby's age it could just be colic. Babies around 6 weeks to 3 months develop colic and professionals don'e exactly know why. They scream and cry and p gas. Some think it's the gas causing the episodes and others think it's the crying causing the gas. No one knows for sure.

34 weeks pregnant, have preeclampsia and bleeding. Could it have been bloody show?

At my last prenatal appointment, I was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia. The same day, I was put on blood pressure meds and modified bed rest. That night I woke up to l bleeding and a little clear liquid. I rushed to the ER. They kept me for 13 hours, and my blood pressure was variable, but mostly okay. The highest was 150/ 85 (when I first rushed in to the ER panicked) , the lowest was 119/72. They monitored baby, did a biophysical profile, and bloodwork and all was normal. I didn't even have any protein in my urine at that point. The bleeding was not from my placenta, and so the Dr said it must have been from my cervix. Also, the baby had been breech up until this point, and he had finally turned and his head was right up against my bladder. I ume this means he dropped. Could the dropping have cause the bleeding from the cervix? I was also a fingertip dilated. The bleeding quickly became goopy, stringy and dark. Now it is only like occasional thick brown chunks. Is this the mucous plug and bloody show? Could the blood pressure meds have caused the bleeding? I'm now on strict bed rest, so that we can get baby to at least 36-38 weeks. If anyone else has had mild preeclampsia, did your blood pressure get progressively worse? Did bed rest work? What did the bloody show look like? How long after bloody show till delivery? Thanks!

But then i ended that relationship an since then we been only friends. He then preceded to break up with friend 1. In the end of july. And stopped flirtin with friend 3 about july 4th. Then started dating friend 2 on july 28. He still denies any relationship with friend 1 and flirting with friend 3. But now friend 2 isn't talkin to him and yes he is a player. Am I thinking wrong or is this guy one idiotic moron. Any advice is welcome thnxs

I did my own hair for my wedding, but I also went to beauty school and had a little knowledge of what I wanted. I had very long hair with a spiral perm, and I had it in an up do with a couple of little curls left down. It came out beautiful, and a few people asked me where I went to have it done. It is a stressful day, so if you aren't comfortable with your hairstyling abilities I would suggest having it done professionally.

Personally, if it were me, I would chose the military one. You're doing a good thing for other people plus it's something you want to do. If you ever see yourself going into the armed forces (not sure what they're called in Canada) it would be a great thing to do. In school, we did a lab where we had a beaker filled with ice and we put a test tube w/ water inside the ice filled beaker. We sprinkled salt on the ice in the beaker (not the test tube). The water inside the test tube froze after 15 minutes. I know we added salt to lower the freezing point. The thing i dont get is why we had to add it... was it so the water in the test tube would freeze faster or was it so the ice would stay cold? some other reason?? help!

We were dating for 3 years and he dumped me after a lot of urging from his parents to find some one less "messed up". I had been d a few years ago and had suppressed the memory almost completely. We went farther than we should have physically 1 night, and it brought all of those aw full memories crashing back. They were disoriented though, and for the rest of the day I couldn't discern who had done what. For 24 hours, I was so confused, I actually thought he had done it. I was later told by a therapist that that can actually be pretty common in those situations. What wasn't common is that I pulled out of it relatively quick. Any way, his parents thought I must be some sort of psychotic bimbo and forbade him from seeing me.We did any way, in secret. He would keep struggling with his parents, trying to convince them there was nothing wrong with me, but to little avail. Eventually, he said we should just take a break, but we didn't. We would have multiple "breakups" ( where we planned to wait until we were graduated) but we would always end up back together within a few days. The last one though, turned out to be real, but I didn't know it. We still flirted and everything. One day I see him sitting next to a friend of mine at lunch. I didn't think much of it until he was always sitting by her. During his last period, I peeked in his locker, and he had taken out my love post-it note. I left a note for him asking if he still wanted to get back together. I ended up having to text him, and he became very nasty. He would say, for days, through paragraphs of texts what a pathetic looser I was. He ended up dumping me for RE ALS reals at midnight. Over text.All alone. The next morning,I am not making any of this up, I had to sit through a church service about all the promises in romantic relationships and their vitality, then right after that, we went in the store to buy brunch and they were playing our song on the radio. Also in store for that day, our cl was planning to go four wheeling at some cabins and spend a few nights up there as a senior party. I had to watch him and her cuddle while we watched movies, and hold on to each other while they rode. He pive aggressively bullied me. Not even a week later, we had prom. I had to leave for every slow song. By then I was in tough girl mode, so I didn't cry until I got home. During this time we had started to text. He was saying he wants to be friends. I told him, 2 times that that would be impossible, because I would have to see him with her, making the same promises he had told me, holding her the way he held me, etc. He started to bully me again, and my dad tried to help me block his number, but he would still get through. He would start off by being nice, so I would start texting him back.Any way, we hadn't had any contact since a week or two after graduation. Last night, at midnight, he texted me again asking what I was doing,and how things were going. We were able to talk a few things out, sort of. He wanted to meet up somewhere to talk face to face and give me some stuff I left at his house. We meet up and talk in his car. He admits to being a jerk, and unclear. But he still really wants to be friends. He says that it drives him crazy not to know whats happening with me all the time. I tell him how betrayed and hurt I am . He says it wouldn't have worked any way, because he is an "obedient " son. He says he is still dating her, and some how reasoned that it wasn't even a rebound. He says he didn't want to make me cry, and that's why he never made his intentions completely clear. He would also ask why I was being so mean, then he would stop and correct himself. He know admits to being the pathetic loser. He keeps trying to be comforting by hugging me and he even kissed me on the cheek. At the end though, when his parents called to ask where he was, he said he had to go soon. He asked again if we could please be friends, because he didn't want to lose me completely. I could barely even say the words,"probably not". He leaned in to hug me and he kept lingering. Then he kissed me on the cheek again, then turned my head and kissed me on the lips. It wasn't violent or anything, he just held me there for a few seconds. I yelled at him and asked why he had done that and he said,"because I'll never see you again". You don't even know how many times he's said that. What do I do with this guy? He seems genuinely confused, but I do know, that among his many traits, he is very manipulative. He even brags about it. I'm thinking of telling him that if he ever tries to talk to me again, I'll tell his girlfriend what he did...or something. I do still love him and he knows that. It's only been 2 months since the real breakup. I cannot play his games any more though, how do I get out? I'm to worn out to think for myself anymore.I know thisdes

Dream interpretation?

I had a vivid nightmare last night where it was like a doentary I was watching where a man bent another man over, had a bucket on the floor under his head and was yelling at the man saying "I am a man of God!" over and over then he chopped his head off with a hatchet...the head went into the bucket. Then continued doentary style it told how this murderer stayed in the house with the dead body that no one ever discovered...for many years, and bugs like flies and maggots were all in the house and the murderer had sores allover his body from being bitten by bugs and he wouldn't go to the doctor but lived with all these open itching oozing sores...then the doentary told how the man eventually died of some disease...I woke up with a gasp...totally horrified! Feeling kicks down low?

i'm only 22 weeks + 4days pregnant with a baby girl and i feel my baby kick very low like its coming from but i know thats an exaggeration, but should i be really concerned? should i contact my doctor? i know at my last ultrasound at 20 weeks they said baby was breech, would this have anything with baby kicking so low? i never felt a kick higher than that

i would get a collage frame and if you have pictures of you step by step of your pregnancy than i would put a pic of your developing tummy a long with a picture of you and your husband the sonogram picture and a picture of you and you husband as babies if you can get any put the sonogram in the middle of you and your husbands baby pic and then build around it label each month of your tummy then they will feel special and included and allow for them to catch up if you have any extra space in the frame label the spots where the rest of the pictures would go and then send them a picture every month and then end of course when the baby is born with a beautiful picture of your baby and the frame you can get any where a department store, craft store, that gives you more options and you can have fun playing with it

Question about viewing pics that are on CD?

A photographer took pics of my brother's wedding. She copyrighted them, but then sold my mother a CD of the pics which plainly says copyright released. When I insert the disk into my hard drive it does nothing. My mother had the same thing on her computer. When she took the disks to Walgreen's and put them in the picture maker, they came right up. Can someone help me so that I can view these on my home PC? Thanks!

I'm not a doctor but I do research natural medicines quite a bit to understand various illnesses and treatments. Quinine has been used in the past for the flu, perhaps you caught something going to Morocco, much more likely if you flew on a plane with the recycled air, and the quinine can nip that. Also, you may have a high immunity to your native country's germs but encountered something different this time. There are sand fleas in various areas of Morocco that carry parasites but quinine is not used to treat it, more likely they would have used barberry for that. Mosquitos are found in the swampy areas in the interior of Morocco, have never seen one in the 5 times I've been there during various seasons. I was in Morocco this spring for a couple of weeks, had the same symptoms you did, and believe it was strep throat.
